Maseru – Lesotho’s under 20 soccer squad Makoanyane XI is still without a coach after mentor Mr. Motlalepula Majoro‘s term expired on December 31st last year.
This was after the youthful side bombed out of the regional soccer tournament, the Council of Southern Africa Football Association COSAFA Youth Championships held in the North West Province of South Africa.
Lesotho Football Association LEFA Secretary General Mr. Mokhosi Mohapi said the Association’s National Executive Committee is yet to take a resolution regarding the Makoanyane XI Coach and will act on the advice of the Technical Director.
However, he said they are not in a hurry as Makoanyane XI is not yet active as LEFA is focusing on the senior national soccer side Likuena competitions, saying Mr. Majoro has submitted a comprehensive report which deals with tactical and technical aspects of the game.
Mr. Mohapi said Mr. Majoro could still be considered for the current vacant coaching position if the Technical Director advices so.
Meanwhile, Mr. Majoro pointed out that internal problems which existed in the Makoanyane XI team ahead of the COSAFA U-20 championship as the ones which contributed to the team’s early exit from the regional tournament.
