Change Looms in Scott’s Trial

Maseru – The double murder case against Koabalata residents Lehlohonolo Scott and his mother ‘Malehlohonolo failed to proceed on Monday due to ‘Malehlohonolo’s ill health.

Their legal representative Advocate Thulo Hoeane indicated that there is a likelihood of separation of trial being effected in the case for progress, and the Judge said he would require a regular report on ‘Malehlohonolo’s health as he takes time to consider circumstances surrounding the case, adding that the possible separation of trial would only be done by the prosecution if it deems it necessary.

Advocate Hoeane had hoped ‘Malehlohonolo was getting better by the day and expected her to show up in court on Monday, but was surprised last Sunday when he was informed that her condition was still not favorable for her to stand trial.

The court postponed the case for further update to August 22nd this year.
