Maseru – To celebrate its 20th anniversary Vodacom Lesotho launched its Vodacom Mega Millions 2016 aimed at further empowering Basotho with prizes worth over five million Maloti.
Addressing the press in Maseru, Vodacom Marketing Specialist Mr. Sekonyela Matamane said they are proud to look back at the legacy built over the last two decades where they have seen growth, innovation and transformational contributions to sports, health and development as well as changing the lives of the everyday Vodacom Lesotho customers.
He said they have invested heavily over the years to ensure national coverage so that all Basotho are afforded access to the world with fastest internet, and they have relentlessly found ways to give smarter solutions and push boundaries to maximise value.
This year’s prizes include two houses, 15 cars, over 75 000 Maloti in cash prizes, over half a million Maloti in airtime and 1800 smartphones.
At the same occasion one of the winners of the 2015 Vodacom Competition, Mrs. ‘Maliau Mosae of Ha Abia said she had won a car but since she did not want a private car, Vodacom allowed her to sell that to buy a taxi and a site, saying she is now a farmer specialising in piggery and poultry and commended Vodacom for improving her life.
It has also been announced that the house winners have the option to get a brand new house worth 400 000 Maloti, to make building renovations to their existing home worth 400 000 Maloti or to be built a new house at a preferred location with an existing lease.
