Bible Society to Hold Leadership Seminar

Maseru – The Bible Society of Lesotho will hold a leadership Seminar at the National Convention Centre in Maseru on November 30.

According to the Society’s General Secretary Mr. Inahaneng Tsekana, the theme of the seminar, “The Critical Position of a leader”, is taken from Hebrews 9:7, and it is also motivated by a quote from an internationally recognised leadership expert Dr. John Maxwell which states, ‘Everyone can steer the ship, but it takes a leader to chart the course’.

He pointed out that leaders from various organisations, churches, government ministries, political parties and institutions will share skills and ideas on good leadership during the seminar, saying speakers of the day will be Reverend Dr. Gabriel Tlaba and Dr. Gerard Lejakane, while the Ministry of Development Planning will sensitise participants on the National Strategic Plan.

Mr. Tsekana said organisations often collapse due to lack of good leadership hence it is important for leaders to frequently learn from others as every country needs good leaders for its development.

The Bible Society of Lesotho was established in 1967 under the guidance of the Bible Society of South Africa, and it is dedicated to translating, publishing and distributing the Bible at affordable costs and advocates for its credibility and trustworthiness in contemporary cultural life.
