Maseru – Professor Mafa Sejanamane has confirmed his family’s safety following an attack by anonymous men at his residence during the weekend.
However, Professor Sejanamane said there is damage in his bedroom as the attackers had thrown rare stones that broke the room’s windows, which he believes the attackers had brought from somewhere for the purpose of breaking the windows as such stones are not found in their village.
He said before the damage, they heard gunshots and ran to safety, saying the attackers had entered his yard through a fence which they had cut, adding that the country is going through a difficult time which calls for stringent measures to restore safety and security.
He added that the case was reported at the Flight one Police Station, saying he is not going to be threatened.
Police Spokesperson Superintendent Clifford Molefe confirmed that the case has been reported and investigations are continuing.
