Maseru – Lesotho singer and Journalist, Nthakoana Ngatane could be one of the world’s most recognised singers if she makes it through the ITV THE VOICE UK 2017 auditions this month, and the rest of the competition in London, in the United Kingdom, UK.
Ngatane said she applied for the competition as it has the attention of huge audiences in the UK therefore competing there will help expose her talent, saying the UK has many established record companies that are scouting talents and have potential to help her to succeed in her singing career.
A press release issued by Invest in Lesotho said Ngatane was invited among many artists to audition by the well-known show that pre-qualifies contestants prior to auditions, and has millions of viewers across the UK.
The release said Ngatane is well-known as a recording and performing artist in Lesotho, and she has performed in neighbouring South Africa and Botswana, adding that one of her most known compositions is a song titled ‘MSHOLOZI’, which appeals to South Africa, through President Jacob Zuma to treat Basotho with compassion.
The competition is scheduled to end in October.
