Maseru – The Right Honourable the Prime Minister has challenged leaders to commit to a turn-around strategy that calls for improved health outcomes and engage in vigorous test and treat campaigns.
Officially launching the Prime Minister’s National Health Leadership Reform Programme in Maseru Dr. Pakalitha Mosisili said the Programme is a direct turn to invest directly in leadership, to oversee and account for health services in Lesotho.
He said working together can help fight the scourge of HIV and Tuberculosis TB and called for all resourceful men, women and children to stand up and join the fight, adding that the Programme is adding to efforts by the Ministry of Health to ensure that all policies are implemented.
Speaking at the same occasion, the Minister in the Prime Minister’s office Honourable Kimetso Mathaba said there is no doubt that the country is in trouble as Basotho are dying in large numbers and that calls for action.
Present at the event were among others, Development Partners and Cabinet Ministers.
Relevant stakeholders such as traditional healers, Artists and Poets grace the event with songs delivering messages on HIV and domestic violence.
